The Milk Mission was founded by sisters Gina VanCant and Kendra Valton.
While sharing their struggles and success with breastfeeding one Sunday afternoon, the two sisters came up with an idea to help support breastfeeding moms who returned to work. Their idea included starting a breast milk delivery service. As a busy mom living in New York City, Kendra found herself "pumping and dumping" her breast milk during business travel because she had no where to store it.
Kendra new that her breast milk was LIQUID GOLD! She struggled making sense of not having an alternative to "pumping and dumping" her breast milk. Gina, struggled with low milk supply while breastfeeding her son.
